Tapestry Online Learning Journal

At Puddleducks Pre-School we use an online learning journal called Tapestry to record and store our daily observations and assessments for each child. Observations are made using photos which show the learning that has been taking place. Each observation is assessed and linked to learning objectives and the photo is annotated to record this. This allows our parents to see what skill their child is developing and where they are at chronologically in their learning.

This is a safe and secure system and one that enables parents and carers to access their child’s learning journey when they wish from a handy free app or on the Tapestry website. Parents/Carers can enjoy looking at the observations with their child and can talk about the activities together at home.

Parents/Carers can also comment on the observations and even post their own entries into the Learning Journal to share with the Preschool staff, enhancing the home-preschool partnership.
