Luna
Meet Luna, our vibrant Golden Retriever born in April 2022! She has been a cherished visitor at Puddleducks for four years, and she absolutely thrives on all the love and attention she receives! Luna adores digging around in the woodlands, which is her favourite pastime!
She’s completed her puppy training classes and continues to join regular training sessions to keep her sharp. Proudly owned by Kirsty, owner of Puddleducks, Luna’s well-being is always top of her mind!
And let’s welcome Bea, our delightful Labrador Retriever who was born in May 2026! She joined us at Puddleducks in September 2026 and looks forward to continuing to meet everyone!
Bea will be undergoing puppy training followed by regular training to ensure she’s always at her best. Proudly owned by Abby, our Office Manager, Bea’s welfare is always carefully considered!​

At Puddleducks, we prioritise the happiness and well-being of our dogs, children, and staff alike!
Both breeds have been handpicked for their wonderful temperaments—gentle, friendly, social, fun-loving, and smart—making them fantastic companions in therapy and support roles, including as hearing dogs.

We believe this is a valuable opportunity for the children, offering numerous benefits as outlined below.
School/Early Years dogs have been proven to
o have a calming effect on pupils, particularly those with behavioural or learning difficulties
o improve behaviour and concentration
o reduce stress and enhance self-esteem
o help increase confidence, as well as growing children’s understanding of responsibility
o help develop empathy and nurturing skills
o encourage expression and participation in more withdrawn children to foster a sense of responsibility
o motivate children to think and to learn, as most children have a high level of natural interest in, enthusiasm for and enjoyment of animals
o encourage respect and thereby improving children’s relationships with each other and staff/teachers. This is likely to also extend through to the home environment.
o teach children to nurture and respect life
o support the most vulnerable children, and contribute to educational improvements with low achievers

When joining Puddleducks all parents/carers are asked to give informed consent for their child/ren to have direct interaction with the Puddleducks dogs.
